Thought for the Day
We are all so blessed. I'm sitting here in my wonderful, cutely decorated house, in Auburn, Alabama where I get the opportunity to attend this school and further my education every day. I may not always be thankful for it, but I am right now. That got me thinking about how easily those things can be overlooked when we are hit with tough, stressful times when we feel all we are in is despair. So here is a thought from one of my favorite devotional books, My Upmost For His Highest:
"The greatest difficulty spiritually is to concenterate on God, and His blessings are what make it so difficult. Troubles almost always make us look to God, but His blessings tend to divert our attention elsewhere. Our difficulties, our trials, and our worries about tomorrow all vanish when we look to God. Wake yourself up and look to God. Build your hope on Him. No matter how many things seem to be pressing in on you, be determined to push them aside and look to Him. 'Look to Me...' Salvation is yours the moment you look."
So just ponder that for the day!
Also, today is the day before Caroline's 21st birthday, so we've got big plans for the night and I will post pictures from that either later today or definitely tomorrow! 4 of us down and 2 to go. They're dropping like flies! We're getting so old... Ok well wish us luck with the celebration and I'll let you know how it all goes!
